Why Local Water Knowledge Matters in the PNW

Water Guys serves Eastern Washington and North Idaho, where hard aquifer water and private wells each call for a different approach. Our installers know both, and we size every system to the local conditions, not a generic spec sheet.

Eastern Washington & North Idaho

Spokane, Spokane Valley, Liberty Lake, Coeur d'Alene, Post Falls and the surrounding communities draw drinking water from the Spokane Valley–Rathdrum Prairie Aquifer, a federally designated Sole Source Aquifer that supplies 500,000+ residents from glacial-outwash gravel. Hardness typically runs 7–10 grains per gallon, which is "hard" to "very hard." Without softening, scale can shorten the life of a water heater by 40% and reduce dishwasher and washing machine efficiency. We size softeners to actual household flow, not the showroom default, so you don't pay for capacity you don't need.

Private Wells Across the Region

Roughly 1 in 7 PNW households drink from a private well. Wells in Stevens, Pend Oreille, Spokane and Kootenai Counties commonly test for elevated iron, manganese and seasonally variable arsenic; the WA Department of Health recommends private well owners test twice yearly. As an authorized Water Right dealer, we install Iron Curtain, Sanitizer Plus and Impression Plus systems engineered for problem well water.
